Next steps for Mai
On November 16th we trialled Mai - our new AI-powered tutor - with all of our Tassomai students. This was phase 2 of our AI beta trial and a chance to test Mai at full capacity.
We're pleased to say that the trial went as well as we'd hoped, with more than 30,000 students interacting with Mai on “Mai Day” and lots of positive feedback.
Today, we are delighted to announce the next steps in the integration of our Bett Award shortlisted AI tutor into Tassomai's core product.
From Wednesday 22nd November all new and existing private subscriptions to Tassomai will include full access to Mai at no extra cost. This means Mai will be accessible on almost every Tassomai quiz question, providing learners with 24/7 access to a "virtual" tutor!
We believe this makes Tassomai the most impactful (and best value) retrieval practice and online tutoring option for private subscribing families.
Coming soon... Mai for schools users
In the coming weeks we also intend to incorporate Mai into our schools package.
Mai access for learners who get Tassomai through schools will be slightly different in that we will limit the amount of interactions a student can have with Mai. The reason for this is that there is a cost for us as a business to provide Mai and the lower price per user paid by schools means we'll need to cap interactions.
We do however intend to offer an option for families who get Tassomai through schools to upgrade to "full Mai access" for a small monthly fee.
We believe this approach is the fairest way to ensure that as many learners as possible are able to access Mai and enjoy the benefits of an AI tutor.
We will continue to innovate and improve Mai and we are committed to ensuring that all our users have the opportunity to #MeetMai.
