New Year, New Subjects!

After the success of our trial in the autumn term, we are delighted to be launching 3 new GCSE courses for Y9-11 students studying geography, history and computer science! These new subjects are now available for schools and private subscribers.

The content is tailored to each exam board ensuring students are learning the correct terminology for their lessons and assessments. Each subject has courses available for Edexcel Pearson, AQA and OCR, all of which have linked resources to ensure students have access to as much helpful knowledge as possible.

The quizzes cover key aspects of these different papers, while ensuring that the questions are all targeted at assessment objectives from the National Curriculum.

Geography course

Geography

This subject is broken down into 2-3 courses depending on the exam board and covers both physical and human geography topics.

“As a geography teacher, I would suggest Tassomai be used as a way of interleaving home study with classroom learning. As it is a content-heavy subject, Tassomai is a great way for geography teachers to select previously taught topics they would like students to include in their independent study and the teacher platform allows easy tracking of their progress.” – Shanique Harris, Geography Teacher, Shire Oak Academy

History course

History

This history content is broken down into 4 courses: a period study, a thematic study, a wider world study and a British study. Teachers and parents can select the courses that their students are studying during the setup process, allowing them to tailor the correct content for their students.

“We’ve been using Tassomai for humanities this half term, the students are really enjoying it and finding it engaging. We have found that they have accessed it really easily, particularly compared to other products we have used in the past.” – Clare Quarton, Teaching Team Leader for Humanities, Treviglas Academy (one of our trial schools)

Computer science

Computer Science

This course is much like our maths and science content - each quiz covers a major topic, such as algorithms or networks, with questions adapted to each individual student.

"A computer science app where actual teachers have had an input! Shaping the questions, keeping it up to date and making sure it is fit for purpose. Such an easy tool to navigate for students and teachers. With instant feedback and a tree of growth to show progression."

– Donna Robertson, Curriculum Leader of IT and Computer Science, Harrow Way Community School
