Tassomai Leapfrog Sessions are designed to help learners get to grips with the topics they’re finding the most challenging.
Leapfrog Sessions help our users leap ahead of their peers, propelling them to the top of the class!
Through their regular use of Tassomai we can see whether a learner has mastered a topic and when they’re struggling. We can also see how they’re performing relative to their peers and where there are opportunities to catch up and close any gaps.
This powerful insight enables us to produce personalised weekly learning exercises to help them tackle their trickiest topics in each of their Tassomai subjects.
Each exercise starts with a short video or some readable content, followed by a new format quiz designed to test them on the material. This approach gives learners a unique opportunity to 'leap' up the rankings and gain ground in their weakest areas.
At the start of every weekend a new Leapfrog Session will be made available for each of a learner’s subjects.
Every Leapfrog Session is specially generated, providing a resource and quiz that specifically focuses on an area the learner is struggling in.
Leapfrog Session quizzes include a number of second chances to ensure correct answers are embedded.
Once a learner has engaged with the resource and completed the quiz we let parents know how they got on via a brief email report.

Parents receive a personalised email report on completion of a learner’s weekly Leapfrog Sessions. The report shows how impactful the learning exercises have been and any change in the learner’s understanding level relative to our national averages.

Weekly Leapfrog Sessions are included with Tassomai private subscriptions for Y7-11 students. Families that get Tassomai through schools have the option to add Leapfrog Sessions to their child’s account for a low monthly fee of £2.99 a month.*
*School parents / guardians must have opted in to receive offers from Tassomai’s Parent Club.

If you have a private subscription for a learner in years 7-11, Leapfrog Sessions are included with Tassomai for each of your child’s subjects (except French, Spanish, German and Latin). You can turn Leapfrog Sessions on and off via your dashboard.
Families that get Tassomai through schools are able to add Leapfrog Sessions for a recurring subscription of £2.99 per month. This subscription can be cancelled at any time.
For GDPR reasons you’ll need to have opted in to receive additional offers from Tassomai (making you a member of our “Parent Club”) for us to offer you Leapfrog Sessions. You’ll then receive Parent Club emails with links to buy Leapfrog Sessions, or you can just go into your Parent Dashboard and add Leapfrog Sessions from the Subscriptions tab.
If you have previously opted out of receiving additional offers you can opt in by going to the Account / Settings section of your Parent Dashboard. All parents and guardians who get Tassomai through schools should receive a weekly progress report on Monday from Tassomai. This includes a button which takes you straight in to your parent dashboard.
Contact our admin team and we’ll set you up with Progress Reports and access to your Parent Dashboard. You’ll need to opt in to receive “offers and updates” from Tassomai when you first open your dashboard or via your account settings. Then you’ll be able to see an option to buy Leapfrog Sessions.
Yes, Leapfrog Sessions are switched on for private subscribing families by default, but it’s easy to switch them off via the settings on the Parent Dashboard.
We did try this in our trial of Focus Sessions, but based on our research we found that doing one of these sessions each day didn’t leave enough time for students to be able to continue embedding what they had learned in the session, or for Tassomai to recalibrate its data for the next. Spacing Leapfrogs into weekly sessions is more impactful overall.
Leapfrog Session quizzes will be clearly identifiable when a learner opens Tassomai and they will have to attempt their weekly Leapfrog Session quiz before tackling any other Tassomai content. They will also need to engage with the learning resource before answering the quiz. New Leapfrog Sessions will be released every Saturday morning and will be visible on the student’s account until they complete them.
In most cases, a Leapfrog Sessions add-on will cover all of the subjects that the student uses Tassomai for (i.e. they will see Leapfrog Sessions for each of their active subjects). The subjects that Leapfrog Sessions don’t cover are MFL (French, Spanish, German) and Latin. The actual topics will be those identified by our algorithm as ones that the student needs extra help with.
Leapfrog Sessions contain learning resources followed by an end-of-session Summative Quiz, which makes sure that each student really embeds what they’ve just covered, with feedback and repetition: any mistake they make is recycled until they get everything right. These sessions are specifically selected based on where your child is struggling in relation to their peers, rather than covering a range of content from across multiple topics like usual Tassomai quizzes.
Yes, Leapfrog Sessions count towards daily and weekly goals, so not only are they super high value quizzes in terms of learning impact they also contribute towards a student’s regular Tassomai targets. From a teacher’s perspective Leapfrog Sessions are just another quiz and they count towards any goals they’ve set. There won’t be specific information about Leapfrog Sessions on teacher dashboards.
