Level Up the Classroom: Introducing Class Leaderboards

The Tassomai team are pleased to be rolling out Leaderboards, a new way to foster healthy classroom competition and support engagement.

Over the years we’ve had many requests for a more social and competitive experience – which is exactly what these new Leaderboards are for.

Leaderboards allow teachers to run clear and simple weekly competitions where students in each class compete to earn the most points through quizzing.

  • One shared source of information - everyone can see the same leaderboards.

  • No extra work to set up

  • No change to how teachers or students use Tassomai - students just need to continue completing their Daily and Weekly Goals to earn points!

  • Each class’ Leaderboard will reset every week so there’s always a chance to improve their position on the board next time.

Students can use an alias across other students’ leaderboards

We’ve taken a number of steps to to balance competition and motivation:

  • Only the top 50% of the class are shown to students

  • Students can use an alias across other students’ leaderboards

  • While competing in this week's leaderboard, students can only see the points of the students who are directly ahead and behind them

We are also conscious that some schools would prefer not to have students participating in such a competition, so if that is the case please contact us at admin@tassomai.com and we can turn it off for your school.
