Discover Boost

Turbocharge your learner’s Tassomai account

Boost is an option that’s only available to families who get Tassomai through schools, giving them access to extra subjects and other benefits for a heavily discounted monthly subscription.

**NOTE BOOST IS NOW CALLED “EXTRA SUBJECTS”**

Tassomai is available for a range of subjects, at both KS3 and KS4: maths, English language, all 3 sciences, French, Spanish, German & Latin, and at KS4 only (GCSE level): English literature, history, geography & computer science.

How does Boost work?

Parents and guardians who have opted in to receive updates and offers from Tassomai have the option to Boost their child’s account, allowing them to add extra subjects (additional to those their child gets through school) and access recordings of 75+ Live Lesson tutorials.

Note that the cost of a Boost subscription is just £2.99 per month, that’s a fraction of the price of a standard private subscription to Tassomai (£44.99/month for Y9-11) but with access to all the same subjects!

Tassomai subjects at secondary school level are: maths, all 3 sciences, English language, MFL (French, Spanish, German), Latin, and (at KS4 only) English literature, history, geography and computer science.

Live Lesson recordings cover a range of topics, focusing primarily on KS4 core subjects.

Frequently asked questions

  • Simply log-in to your Parent Dashboard and, if you are eligible, you will see a banner on the dashboard inviting you to upgrade to Boost within the app or the internet browser. If you receive our weekly progress report emails, just click the big green button in your report for instant access to your Parent Dashboard.

Additional subjects can be selected and activated via your Parent Dashboard once you have signed up to Boost.

(N.B. Please do not sign up for a free private subscriber trial as this will create a duplicate account.)

  • For GDPR reasons you’ll need to have explicitly opted-in to receive updates from Tassomai for us to add the Boost banner to your Parent Dashboard or for us to mention it in your weekly progress report email. If you aren’t seeing the Boost option, go to account settings in your Parent Dashboard and change your communications preferences. When you opt in you’ll automatically become a member of our Parent Club and you’ll see additional content on your Parent Dashboard.

  • If you receive our weekly progress report emails, you can click the green button for instant access to your Parent Dashboard (no password needed). You can set a password once you are in your dashboard for future access. Note that you can also click here to request a password reset. You’ll need to use the email address that your weekly progress reports are sent to.

If you’ve never received a weekly progress report, contact our admin team on 020 3380 7968 or email admin@tassomai.com to get set up.

  • No, Boost is billed monthly and parents can cancel their subscriptions at any time via their Parent Dashboard. Note that Boost subscriptions are ongoing, but will always end automatically for year 11 students after the student’s last GCSE exam.

  • We are committed to keeping Boost at £2.99 per month until the end of the 23/24 school year and probably beyond. We won’t make any change to the price without notifying subscribers with plenty of advance notice. We will be introducing some additional upgrade options at some point for families who want to access other new features we’re working on.

  • We aim to make Tassomai affordable so that as many families as possible can benefit from the program, which is why Boost is priced at a significant discount to our private subscriber product. However we appreciate that some families may well be squeezed financially at the moment and we are working with schools to identify ways to make Boost as accessible as possible to parents on lower incomes in the future.

  • Although Boost gives you access to all of our subjects, we wouldn’t recommend switching on all of them as it’s likely your child won’t get the most out of the program.

What we recommend is to start with a few subjects: perhaps a blend of subjects your child is struggling with alongside something they’re more confident in. The balance will be beneficial and you will see some contrast in the way the program operates for them. It’s far easier, then, to swap things in and out, or add slightly to the workload once a routine has been established.

Note that each subject will have its own Daily Goal (a set amount of practice). Cognitive science tells us that there’s great benefit to interleaving practice - switching between topics regularly - and the Tassomai platform encourages this.

  • Once signed up to Boost, your learner will see a tab called the Lesson Library inside their dashboard. From here they can access all previous recordings of our Live Lessons.
