Tassomai videos and Linked Resources

Laser targeted tutorials!

For GCSE science, maths and English, Tassomai includes links to external resources and short targeted tutorial videos - created by our content specialists - covering key topics from the syllabus.

Students are directed to relevant resources or invited to watch a Tassomai tutorial video when our algorithm sees that they need help with a particular topic.

Linked Resources

Linked Resources

When a student completes their Daily Goal of Tassomai quiz questions, our algorithm identifies the topics they’re struggling with, and links them to relevant resources on BBC Bitesize, tailoring recommendations to their personal learning needs.

There’s more information in this blog post about unlocking Linked Resources, and they are now available for both KS4 (GCSE) and KS3 students.

Targeted and timely Tassomai tutorial videos

The detailed profile we build for each student enables us to only show content that we know will be adding value - always timely, relevant to that specific learner, and helping them to get the most from Tassomai.

We know students can ‘tune out’ when they watch videos on other platforms, so ours are short (60-90 seconds) and directly related to the content they are about to work on next.

Tassomai was recognised with an “Evidence Applied EdWard” from UCL’s EDUCATE programme.

Improving knowledge recall and memory retention

We tested the impact of Tassomai tutorial videos while participating in EDUCATE, a programme developed by University College London and the Institute of Education to help companies like ours make decisions based on solid, evidence based research.

The research clearly shows that videos increase Tassomai’s impact, making it more effective by improving our users’ knowledge recall and memory retention.
