Subject Specialist

Why Tassomai?

Tassomai’s vision is to be an indispensable education tool for everyone. Our current focus is to support teaching and learning in secondary science by making sure students learn in a more efficient and effective way, and by giving schools, teachers and parents the tools to help. We want to ‘level the playing field’ for those students without access to private tuition.

Over the next three years, Tassomai is focusing heavily on extending and improving our product, as well as several new product developments. We have had a great deal of success supporting secondary science and we have huge demand from schools to offer the same in other subjects.

As one of a team of subject specialist leads, you would play a key role in shaping the development of a product which is already helping students, teachers and parents and helping make it into one that can have maximum education impact for our users. You would have the opportunity through your work to help many thousands of students, teachers and families, and helping us to continually improve on what we do.

What’s the Challenge?

Tassomai has, for several years, been used by hundreds of schools to improve outcomes in GCSE science. We have also offered other subjects at other levels to private subscribers. Our strategy over the coming years is to review, develop and roll out content in multiple subjects to our school customers for students from KS2 to KS5.

As a subject specialist, your role is to ensure that all the content we offer has maximum impact on students’ learning and understanding. We want to offer a product that teachers and schools trust will support them in delivering a high quality of education.

You would be supporting the Content Manager in shaping and delivering high quality resources, directing a team of junior writers and researchers. By coming up with creative approaches to delivering great content to learners, you would create templates, examples and briefs for your colleagues to follow. In reviewing the work of the team, you would be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of output and the continual development of the writing team.
